Brotherly Love {Steven and Liam}

I love my job. I don’t know if I have mentioned this before or not, but my job is awesome. First of all, I love photography and am so blessed to get to do what I love every day. But, on top of that I get to meet some of the coolest people and new friends. This session is no different. Jessica and Lawrence are super cool people and their little boys are too awesome for words. The park we met at had a train playground which was just the coolest thing EVER to Steven, who was pretty sure his only mission in life was to run and play. He certainly kept me on my toes and running but it was so much fun. And little Liam, well he is pretty sure his number one mission is to eat dirt and leaves and gross his mama out doing so. Silly little boys. I hope you get a feel of this awesome family’s personalities from these pictures and enjoy them as much as I did taking them. I can’t wait to see these guys again! <3Bri

Kelly & Co.

This was one of the funniest sessions I have done in a long time. Kelly and Jason have 6 beautiful children and they are some of the coolest kids. They are all hysterical, sweet, and just a blast to be around. To see how different they all are is so much fun for me. And Jason and Kelly are just fantastic. Kelly is so beautiful, and tiny…man you’d never know she had 6 kids. Amazing. I hope you all enjoy these pictures as much as we enjoyed taking them. šŸ™‚ <3Bri

Daniella <3 Vision

Senior sessions are always some of my favorites, especially if there are horses involved. šŸ™‚ Daniella is gorgeous and so sweet, so my job was easy. No session I shoot is complete without at least a little excitement. We learned during this shoot that perhaps riding Vision bareback on a chilly day when he has had about a week off is perhaps not the brightest idea. It was entertaining to say the least. šŸ™‚ <3Bri

CCMS Football!

Let me start this by saying I know nothing, and I mean NOTHING about football. That is, unless you count that in my mind the object of the sport is to hunker down, stare each other in the face, and then on the count of three run and attack the person in front of you as hard as you can. Oh, and somewhere in there is some oblong shaped ball getting thrown around from one person to the next like hot potato. That’s about all my knowledge of football, incorrect as it may be. So, at the request of a friend from high school (who happens to be the coach) I set off towards parts of Moore County I didn’t even know existed to photograph the guys fromĀ CranesĀ Creek Middle School in their last game of the season at North Moore High School. Did I mention that it was freezing cold…I’m talking cold, like in the 40’s with wind and a light misty rain. Miserable weather. So there I stand, clicking away and shuffling up and down the side lines trying to predict where these guys were going next in a sport that I don’t understand at all, in the freezing cold. I still don’t understand the sport at all, I mean none. But, I had a blast with them…these are some really funny kids and are a blast to be around. The won the game by a landslide, which resulted in Coach Frye getting the cooler of water dumped on him…it was hysterical but oh man, I can’t imagine how cold he was….then he had to ride all the way home on a bus like that. Man, I’m pretty sure he should win the sportsmanship award for that one. Anyways, hope you guys enjoy these as much as I did shooting them. It was a comical and entertaining day to say the least. <3Bri

Baby Bear {Coming Soon}

I am so far behind on my blogging that it is now Amy’s due date with Barrett (Bear). He has apparently decided that hibernating is awesome and he doesn’t want to come out yet. I think he missed the memo that we all are dying to meet him. Amy and Nate are awesome and hysterical. I had so much fun with these two. We laughed, cut up, and had a blast. It was a typical photoshoot with me, nothing short of dramatic haha. I got attacked by cobwebs while trying to climb up in the rafters of an old barn (because that’s a totally normal thing to do right?), Amy got stuck in a giant pile of sawdust, and Nate got sawdust thrown in his face! Oh, and lets not forget my flat tire that in turn blew up in my poor husbands face while Amy, Nate, and I were sneaking on to a golf course (the things we do to get the good shot! Sheesh!) Needless to say this was a fun shoot. Stay tuned because any day now I will be posting pictures of the adorable Bear. As soon as he decides to come out of hibernation that is! šŸ™‚ <3Bri

First Annual Leelapalooza

This little precious angel totally stole my heart. She is so sweet and cute beyond words. Her parents went all out for thisĀ party. It was so awesome and I think the only thing missing was perhapsĀ a petting zoo. I hope everyone else had as much fun at Leela’s party as I did. I can’t wait to watch this little sweetheart grow up!

A Beautiful Love {Robert, Mallory and Madison}

This is the second time I’ve gotten to photograph Madison and Mallory, but this time Robert decided to join us too. These were so much fun to shoot. Madison reminds me so much of Hailey, such a Daddy’s girl, and clearly thinks he hung the moon. Exactly as it should be šŸ™‚ Sorry, I am so late in getting these all up. I’m finally catching up on some blog post! šŸ™‚ Enjoy, and can’t wait to see you guys again. It’s always fun! šŸ™‚ <3Bri

Pony Love {Melissa}

So, obviously anyone who knows me knows that I am a “horse girl”. Give me a beautiful, sweet model and her equally gorgeous ponies (and a couple precious puppies too) and I am in camera heaven. Melissa is just gorgeous, and has awesome taste in clothes too- her outfits were perfect!!!! We were a bit concerned about the weather, and had to incorporate some benadryl into the day- but everything held off just brilliantly and made for some epic shots. Hope you guys enjoy these too! I can’t wait to do pictures with this crew again! šŸ™‚

The Power Of Love {The Pearson Family}

I’ve known Nina for a long time, we went to school together. It was so nice to get to catch up with her and meet her super cool husband, Robert, and their adorable little boy Cameron. He is such a sweet and precious little guy. I could just cuddle him all day long! Oh, and Robert has a thing for fast, gorgeous cars. So, I also got to take pictures of his gorgeous mustang too. Be still my heart. I hope you guys enjoys these as much as I did taking them. Nina and Robert, thanks for having me out to take pictures of your beautiful family. Can’t wait to do it again! <3BriImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Walk For Lupus 2012 Event!

If you remember, a few weeks back I posted about my husband fundraising for the Walk For Lupus event here in Fayetteville, NC. (See that post here:Ā https://captivatephotographync.wordpress.com/2012/09/07/2012-walk-for-lupus/) This past weekend we went to the event. Kevin was able to reach his goal of $500.00 with the help of the amazing people who donated. This was the first time we have ever been to an event like this and we didn’t really know what to expect. Let me just tell you, it was amazing. As I walked with all the other people who were all there to support this cause, to support ME, and everyone else out there who suffers from this awful disease I found myself fighting back tears on more than one occasion. Not because I was sad or upset, but because I was just so overwhelmed. I was overwhelmed by how awesome the event was as a whole, I was overwhelmed by the number of people who were there supporting this, and most of all- I was overwhelmed by my incredible husband. Not only did he decide to do this and raise the money on his own, but he reached his goal, and as I hung back walking behind him with our daughter on his shoulders (the entire mile btw) I was just overwhelmed by how incredibly blessed I am to have someone as amazing as him standing by my side as we go through this journey together. Everyone had these stickers on their backs that said who they were walking for. Some said a friend, some said a family member, some said “Me”. The ones that tore me up the most were the ones that said “In memory of…..”. My beautiful little girl wore the most adorable little shirt with a family picture on it and said “I’m walking for my mommy” Ā on the back, on the front she decorated it herself (Floodgates wide open when I saw this btw) and all I could think when I saw the “In memory of…” stickers was what if the day ever came that my daughter had that on her sticker. But- enough of that nonsense- I’m not going ANYWHERE (except to bed soon :-P) for a long long long time. Sorry everyone! šŸ˜› Now- back to the event. We walked a mile around downtown historic Fayetteville pastĀ restaurantsĀ and other local businesses in a giant wall of purple and butterflies. It was awesome, especially to see people stopping to support us, offering encouragement, and some that even joined in walking with us. Amazing. After the walk we had some super yummy food and cupcakes and had some entertainment by way of a band, some young girls from a local dance studio doing some demonstrations for us and a DJ getting everyone out dancing to “The Wobble”, “Cupid Shuffle” and other catchy dance type songs. It was a blast to just hang out with everyone there and watch the entertainment. Hailey loved watching the girls dance and said “their spinning makes me dizzy!” haha….so precious. All in all, it was a fantastic day and I was so glad to be a part of it. Next year we are going to raise WAY more money and start fundraising even earlier (so lookout everyone). I’m already looking forward to next year’s event. Again- thank you to everyone who helped us reach our goal, and thank you to everyone who put on this event, and everyone else who walked and participated, and most of all, thank you to my husband, Kevin. I don’t know where I would be without you and I am so blessed to have you by my side. Thanks again everyone! I am attaching a few of the shots I took so everyone can see how awesome it was. See everyone next year! <3BriImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
