The {Hudson} Family

You might remember this beautiful family from their maternity photos, Coming Soon x2, https://captivatephotographync.com/2012/09/25/coming-soon-x2-the-hudson-family/ . Well obviously the beautiful Molly and handsome Jack have arrived and are growing so fast. And Laura continues to be superwoman.. Dave is currently deployed off fighting for our freedom, major thanks as always, and Laura is back working full time in a high stress job. Some how she manages to hold everything together and make it seem easy. 5 kids, 2 being newborn babies, a full time job, dogs, everything and still manages to look beautiful. Superwoman I tell you. It was great to get to see Annabelle, Hannah, and Kiera  again and they got to meet the horses and ride like I promised them last time! 🙂 Can’t wait to see these guys again. Before we know it Jack and Molly will be celebrating their first birthday! ❤ Bri

Easter Mini Sessions

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Wow, what a fantastic weekend. I had NO idea when I offered these mini sessions what a huge hit they would be. Wow, I filled every session I had available and have had people contacting me wanting more. It was certainly a busy busy busy weekend, but it was totally worth it. I had the chance to see some of my old favorites and meet some totally awesome new people. All of the kids were such delights to work with and were all so well behaved, sure did make my job easier. (Kudos parents!) And cute, holy cuteness….all of them were so adorable! I can’t wait to set something like this up again! Just going to share a few shots from each session for everyone. And parents- your discs are all ready so contact me to arrange pick up! Stay tuned for some other sneak peeks from some other recent sessions! 🙂 ❤ B

Party Like A Rock Star {Brielle turns 1!}

In epic {me} fashion, I am so far behind on blogging. Like always. I am such a blogging failure, and I should really work on this. But, I own it. That has to count for something, right? It really is all about when the inspiration hits me. I go a while where I am just not in the mood to work on the computer, (I’d much rather be behind the camera after all) and then suddenly it seems to hit me all at once. Which in some ways is good for me, I get a lot done in a little amount of time and in generally feel fairly accomplished. For you however, this is a bit of a problem because you randomly get bombarded with stuff from me all at once. Although, if you have nothing else going on in your life but to stalk my every move, then I’m sure you get great happiness out of these moods I find myself in. But wait, this is is supposed to be about Brielle’s photo session, not my inability to blog. Now your seeing my A.D.D kicking in. So, I digress…..

Baby Bri is my little angel. She is my cousin’s daughter and the only baby to come along since my own that I just can’t get enough of. She is so adorable and full of life it’s amazing. (She is related to me after all ;-P) She is so happy and easy to be around, always making you either laugh or smile or both. And boy is she ever a little rock star. You put her in front of a camera and she starts posing like she has been modeling for 20+ years. Talk about a natural. She is the same way with any music, always dancing and getting into the music, regardless of the style, as long as there is music she is happy. If you have spent more than 5 minutes around me before then you know how much I too love music and have to have it playing all the time, regardless of what I am doing. So you can just imagine how much the music was blasting during her shoot. It was a blast. One of the funnest shoots I have done in a while. Fun on every level, and then some. Ok, enough of  my random musings about anything and everything irrelevant it’s time to move onto some epic pictures of the cutest little rock star pixy. Enjoy! 🙂

Baby Bear {Is Finally Here!!!}

Do you guys remember this really adorable couple that I did their maternity pictures back in October?

Image

Yeah, well they had their adorable little baby boy. And boy is he precious. I just adore this couple. They are so fun and Bear is just so precious, and sweet, and cuddly! Amy, and I instantly hit it off because she is probably one of the few people who has a sense of humor quite like mine. And, Nate, he is just super cool too. Together, they are so perfect for each other. One of those couples that you can just tell are destined to be together. You can just tell by the way they look at each other how in love they are. It is so sweet! ❤ And their love of Bear is so precious. You can just tell he has come right into their world and stole their hearts (not without bringing his share of drama no doubt). These were such fun pictures for me to do. I can’t wait to watch this handsome little man grow. Stay tuned for more of him and his epic cuteness in the future! ❤ Bri

Ketchup Is A Type Of Dip Too!!! {Erin & Sydney}

Erin and I have been friends for many years….I’m talking mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnny years here. We have grown up together, and some how through it all we have managed to stay close. Her daughter Sydney is 5 years old and little Miss Personality. She is so funny and precocious and one of Hailey’s closes friends (even if she does call her Cindy) watching them play together is so awesome, I can only hope Hailey and Sydney will be as close and Erin and I are as they grow up. I was more than happy to do Mommy & Me pictures of these 2 beauties, and had as much fun as I knew I would with them. Sydney is destined for greatness one day and was so easy to capture. I hope you guys enjoy these as much as I did taking them. Stay tuned for more of these 2 in the future. I can promise they will be in more pictures, I know where they live 😉 <3Bri

One {Big} Happy Family

I was invited to Greensboro the Saturday after Thanksgiving to do some pictures with an awesome (extended) family. It was so cold when we got up there we weren’t totally sure how everything was going to go, especially with Sully, the youngest addition to their family, being out in the cold. But, it went so much better than any of us could have ever imagined. It was like a well oiled machine, all the kids listened so well and were so much fun to work with, and all the adults behaved too. 😉 This is such an awesome family. You don’t have to be around them for long to realize that even though they are not all together very often they make the most of their time together and their love for each other is so obvious and incredible to stand back and capture. Working with families like these guys and getting to capture their special moments is why I do what I do and love doing it so much. Thank you so much for inviting me into your world and to your gorgeous home. It was certainly a very special day and I feel honored to have been a part of it. <3Bri

The Olivia Act

The Olivia Act named after one of the children killed in Newtown, was started by a photographer who wishes to be anonymous. Olivia’s family had family pictures taken a short time before she was killed. Those pictures are precious and now priceless to them. Upon hearing this, this photographer was moved to give away a 30 minute family photo shoot and has challenged other photographers to do the same. We go about our daily lives and sometimes we don’t take the time or have the resources to have family photos taken.

I will be taking nominations for a family who you think would appreciate this gift. The session will take place sometime after the New Year and will be completely FREE to the family being nominated. Please inbox or e-mail their name, contact information and a brief summary of why you chose them to captivatephotographync@gmail.com. Please put “THE OLIVIA ACT NOMINATION” in the subject line. Please do not post their information here. This gift is a session and a CD of their photos along with a special gift from us. I will take nominations until January 6, 2013. The winner will be chosen and contacted on January 7, 2013.

This is such a fantastic cause and I am SO excited to be a part of it. If you or someone you know is a candidate for this session please contact me ASAP to nominate them. I can’t wait to do this and bring in the new year with such a fantastic cause and give a special family memories they will cherish for a lifetime. You can also go onto my facebook page (www.facebook.com/captivatephotographync) and send me a message to nominate someone as well. (Don’t forget to “Like” Captivate Photography while your there)

A Family Affair {The Foley Family}

Deb and her family are so cool, and beautiful. As is their awesome farm they are building and their animals. The horses are beautiful, the ponies are precious, and the donkeys are too cute for words. It was such a blessing to be able to spend the days with everyone and get to know them better. They are such cool people and I can’t wait to do it again. Coming home from this shoot was certainly an adventure. I randomly witnessed a high speed car chase which led to a head on collision and a foot pursuit. It ended watching the cop attempt to get into his car which he locked his keys in while trying to run after the “bad guy.” It was an adventure I will for sure not be forgetting anytime soon. Enjoy <3Bri
